The Village Community Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization (tax ID#82-3793600), was created in 2017 by a group of long-time Laguna Woods residents with a goal of providing support for valued programs and facilities that serve the residents of Laguna Woods Village, a community of 18,000 seniors in South Orange County, California, and surrounding communities. Donations to the Village Community Fund are tax-deductible.
To provide support for programs, services, and facilities that enrich the lives of older adults.
The Fund is a separate entity from Laguna Woods Village’s three non-profit housing mutuals and the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF), which develops, maintains, and operates the community’s shared amenities. Each of these entities has its own Board of Directors.
The Village Community Fund is separate from, but works in cooperation with, the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, established in 1997, with a mission to provide temporary financial assistance to qualifying, economically disadvantaged residents of the community.
