How to Submit a Project
The Village Community Fund provides support for programs, services, and facilities that enrich the lives of older adults.
If a club, organization, or group of residents (applicants) decide they need to raise funds for a project they are planning, they can apply to the Village Community Fund for guidance on fundraising for a qualifying project.
Examples of a qualifying project include a planned event or purchase of equipment that benefits older adults.
.
The form used to apply for our help is our Project Application Form.
Once an Application is received, a Village Community Fund member will contact the applicants to help them develop a plan for the proposed fundraising project, including a timetable and budget.
The Village Community Fund serves in an advisory capacity for approved projects.
Applicants are responsible for raising tax-deductible funds which will be administered and distributed by the Village Community Fund.
The heavy lifting is done by the applicants.
For projects that involve Laguna Woods Village property, Village Management Services (VMS) will need to concur with the plan, and approval must be obtained from Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) or one of the housing mutual boards before the project is formally accepted by Village Community Fund.
Don’t worry. Village Community Fund board members will help shepherd applicants through the approval process.
If you are ready to submit an application, please click here for a fillable version of the form that can be printed. The form can also be printed and completed offline.
The application has directions on what information needs to be submitted.
Please email the completed form to us at VillageCommunityFund@gmail.com or to our board president Beth Perak at DrBethPerak@gmail.com
If you have questions about the process, the form, the role of Village Community Fund, or what will be expected of the applicants, please contact our board president, Beth Perak at DrBethPerak@gmail.com or 818-640-6878 (call or text).
