Aquadettes Fundraising Campaign
The Laguna Woods Aquadettes are a fun group of women with a common love of synchronized swimming. They have been entertaining audiences for 57 years with their spectacular aquatic shows.
During the covid pandemic, they were forced to take a break from practicing and performing. There was much anticipation when they come back in 2022 with The AquaFollies. It was well worth the wait and received glowing reviews!
The following year they brought Broadway to Laguna Woods Village when they performed The Aquadettes on Broadway, another spectacular show! The show was choreographed to Broadway tunes and was much loved by those who attended.
Their shows usually run for 3 nights in August in Laguna Woods Village. The theme, music, and choreography of the show change every year so that each year’s show is fresh and new. They do include fan favorites every year, such as the ever-popular and patriotic, God Bless America.
It is the hard work and dedication of the swimmers that make the shows so wonderful. They spend many, many hours in the pool in the months between shows learning, practicing, and refining their new routines so the show is amazing!
The details are still under wraps, but they can’t wait for you to see their new show for 2024.
The Aquadettes are thankful for all the wonderful people who have donated, volunteered, and attended the shows in the past.

The Aquadettes put on a newly themed show every year, which means they have high production costs for the costumes they wear for their new routines.
They also raise funds for much needed upgrades to their audio-visual equipment, props, and set decorations, such as curtains.
