Fund the Film - Current Fundraising Campaign
In 2018, our first fundraising campaign helped the Video Club of Laguna Woods raise $1,600 to furnish its newly renovated studio.
Now the club is embarking on another campaign to raise $500 - $1,000 to cover costs to produce their 2023 Short Dramatic Film, “Seeking Online Adventures”. This will be the 5th short film the club has produced.
Shooting and post-production (editing, scoring) are expected to be completed in time for a September or October “premier” event.
The Video Club of Laguna Woods has been making and preserving memories since 1989. The club is involved in many projects, including helping neighbors convert old media, such as vhs tapes and 35mm slides, to modern digital formats.
They also help clubs and groups create their own videos, including lending camcorders free of charge. They teach classes on shooting and editing videos, and are involved in more advanced video productions that often appear on Village Television.
You are invited to tour their facilities. They occupy 2 large rooms, the Video Lab and the Video Studio, located between clubhouse 2 and pool 2.
