How Village Community Fund Fits In
Village Community Fund is a separate entity from Laguna Woods Village housing mutuals (United, Third, and Fifty), Golden Rain Foundation (GRF), and Village Management Services (VMS).
All of those entities are not-for-profit corporations, but they are not charitable organizations.
Village Community Fund, on the other hand, is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations made to Village Community Fund are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Village Community Fund was set up to serve needs beyond those served by the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village, a charitable organization that provides temporary limited financial assistance to economically disadvantaged residents of the community.
That is, Village Community Fund addresses the needs of groups of people, not individuals.
The primary focus of Village Community Fund is the clubs and facilities of Laguna Woods Village but they are also involved in fundraising projects outside of the Village in the city of Laguna Woods.
Village Community Fund has been helping fundraising projects since its inception in 2017
